Group Therapy

What is Group Therapy?

Group therapy is an important part of healing during Florida drug rehab. In addition, the group is a safe place to discuss feelings, fears and frustrations in a non-judgmental setting. Every person in the group understands the tragedies and burdens of addiction. As such, each client has made a personal decision to change. Our professional therapists are trained, licensed and experienced to facilitate meaningful team therapy sessions. Groups become dynamic therapy by applying tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Training, Motivational Interviewing and Health Realization.

Individual Addiction Therapy

Group therapy generally consists of 10-12 clients led by one of our therapists. The format has many great benefits such as:

  • The group dynamic provides feedback from a range of perspectives. In fact, it enables the participant to gain greater self-awareness of how their behaviors affect others.
  • Contributing to the recovery of others enhances empathy and self-worth. Also, it supports the commitment to positive change for everyone.
  • Group members learn from one another. They share common experiences and sympathize. Similarly, group members form strong social networks. Building relationships with others in treatment helps them relate more easily in their own lives.
  • An experienced therapist challenges each individual to be honest and confront self-delusions and fears. On the other hand, the group setting helps clients develop a sense of responsibility to one another.
